我們都知道一場精彩的報告，除了主題內容豐富有趣之外，最重要的是，能夠清楚讓聽眾了解我們所想要表達的重點，以下利用範例舉例說明。
My presentation will be in three parts. First, I am going to give you some facts and figures. Then, I am going to talk about our latest research and how it work. Finally, I’m going to tell the importance of your help that will slow down the temperature. The presentation will probably take 30 minutes. There will be time for questions at the end of my talk.
首先，我們在開場白的時候，在簡單自我介紹，接著帶出主題後，可以先簡單地向大家說明自己演講程序，分為幾個部分、演說的時間、該怎麼發問等等，讓大家對於內容有個初步的概念。
實用開場白例句

◎ Firstly, secondly, thirdly, finally…/ First, then, finally… 首先、第二點、第三點、最後是。
◎ I’m going to… 接下我要…..
◎ tell/give you something about… 告訴大家有關…..
◎ I’d be grateful if you could ask your questions after the presentation. 如果大家能在報告後提出你的問題，我會非常感激。
◎ Please feel free to interrupt me if you have questions. 如果你有問題請不要吝嗇打斷我。
接著，在我們演講的過程中，我們可以提醒觀眾之前說過的重點，接著引導大家至下一個論點。
◎ As I said at the beginning… 就如同我一開始說的….
◎ As you remember, we are concerned with… 如同你記得的，我們非常關注
◎ I’d like to move on to/ turn to… 接下來我想要…
◎ Now I’d like to look at… 接下來我想要帶大家看看….
◎ This leads me to my next point… 這剛好銜接到下一個重點…
想要解釋圖片或是圖表時，我們可以這麼說…
◎ This graph shows you… 這張分圖表顯示
◎ Take a look at this… 大家看按這份…..
◎ If you look at this, you will see… 大家看看這張圖表，你會發現…
◎ This chart illustrates the figures… 這張圖表明卻展現出……
◎ As you can see, this graph tells us… 如你所見，這張圖表顯示…
◎ This clearly shows … 這明顯表示
◎ From this chart, we can understand … 從這張圖我們能夠了解到…..
到了總結的時候，我們可以帶回開頭主旨，再次闡明重點，接著就可以開放問題回答。

◎ In brief, I’ve talked about… 簡而言之，我們已經討論…..
◎ So I hope that you’re a little clearer on how we can achieve our goal… 所以 希望大家有比較了解我們該如何完成目標….
◎ So I want to go back to the beginning when I asked you… 所以我想要帶大家回到一開始我問你…..的問題
◎ I hope that my presentation today will help you with what I said at the beginning… 所以我希望我今天的報告開頭所說的會對大家有所幫助。

面對問題，一時反應不過來時，我們可以把問題複述一次，爭取更多時間作出更好的回應。

◎ That’s an interesting question. How are we going to increase our profit?
在回答問題之後，對於提問者詢問是否滿意答案或是能否明白我們所說的

◎ Let me just say that in another way… I hope this was what you wanted to know.
如果很不幸地回答不了問題的時候，這時，我們就勇於承認吧！
◎ That’s an interesting question. I’ll try to get back to you later with an answer. 這是個很有趣的問題，稍後我會試著帶回你的問題並給你答案。
◎ I’m afraid I’m unable to answer that now. Maybe I can get back to you later. 恐怕我現在沒辦法給你答案，我可能晚點才能回到你這個部分。
◎ Good question. I can’t give you an accurate answer if we don’t have further study on it. 好問題，但我現在不能給你明確的答案，如果我沒有細細研究過的話。
