too 和either的不同用法 我的經驗是，剛剛學英文的人很容易混淆too和either的用法。試試判斷下面兩句話是否正確： 句一、My friends went to Japan last year, and they all had fun. During the Christmas holiday this year, I am going to Japan, too.（我一群朋友去年去了日本，他們都玩得很高興。今年的聖誕節假期，我也要去日本。） 句二、My parents went to the restaurant that was opened last week, and they hated it. 判斷對錯之前，我們先稍微了解too和either的用法。
- too僅用於肯定句和疑問句。
- either用於否定句。
清楚兩者之前的差別後，我們可以判斷句一為正確用法，而句二為錯誤用法。因為句二是否定句（「…我自己也不喜歡…」），所以應該要用either。句二正確的寫法應該為： My parents went to the restaurant that was opened last week, and they hated it. I myself don’t like that new restaurant, either. 下面是一段對話，大家可以注意too和either的用法： Tony: Have you seen the movie, Lucy? I love it!（妳看過電影「露西」了嗎？我好喜歡這部片喔！） Mary: I love that movie, too!（我也好喜歡！） Tony: I would have totally enjoyed the movie, if it were for the guy who was eating stinky tofu the whole time!（我本來可以徹底享受這部片的，偏偏就有一位仁兄整場電影都在吃臭豆腐。） Mary: I don’t like people eating food that smells during the movie, either.（看電影時，我也不喜歡別人吃有味道的食物。）
